THE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS HONOR SOCIETY
Join us this year as we kick off another decade as FIU's premier International Business organization
The first chapter of the International Business Honor Society was founded at Florida International University in 2010 by a diverse group of students and faculty that had a vision of creating a space where students could come together and build up the skills needed for the world after graduation.
Through trial and error, (and feedback from members that became more like family) this led to identifying key areas that all members, regardless of major, would benefit from in the workforce.
Keeping international topics in the forum was always the norm and students would discuss social issues affecting their home countries and beyond.
Their vision for social change evolved into the successful launch of multiple social ventures since the beginning of IBHS. From a coffee shop in Costa Rica, a bracelet idea that helps school girls in Nicaragua, to our current social enterprise; the "Bandhwari Women's Project".
Our Mission, as a strong student-managed organization, is to provide innovative and excellent opportunities, events, and welcoming environment for the entire IBHS community.
Although we require no dues to join our organization, we do have a "Point System" to be inducted into our Honor Society. This system was designed with our mission in mind and exposes our members to the opportunities they'll need to build a strong skillset that guarantees them success in life after graduation.
Our Vision is to grow as FIU's Premier International Business student organization and create the strongest, longest-lasting impressions for every member of the IBHS community.
We have a decade of IBHS Alumni out in the workforce now spanning over 15 states and worldwide in 10 different countries. As we continue to grow and prove our abilities to help shape the world's future leaders, we hope to also create long lasting memories and build friendships that last a lifetime.
