Bandhwari Women's Project
"Changing the world, one stitch at a time."
The International Business Honor Society is a student organization at Florida International University developing a self sustainable social enterprise aimed at empowering the women of Bandhwari, a rural village in the northern region of India.
Since 2016, the International Business Honor Society has been working to build a sustainable business model for the women of the Bandhwari village in India.
While in the field, the 9 members that participated on the service trip that first year witnessed the skills these women possessed and saw an opportunity to apply what they've learned in the classroom towards a greater cause.
The idea is to empower the women to become financially independent while at the same time supporting local economic development to break the cycle of poverty that exists in their rural village.

"ONE STITCH AT A TIME"
At the heart of the Bandhwari Women's project are the brave women that stitch together every one of the products we ship to you.
By the end of our annual trip to the Bandhwari village we all find ourselves building genuine relationship with the women that come to the women's center and our website wouldn't be complete if we didn't include them here.
